Things I don’t dig: prospective insurance prices on the Lancer Sportback.
Honest question, how many people went “wait, this still exists?” as they read this?

At this point, somebody could tell me that Mitsubishi still makes the Evo V and I’d believe them.

fun fact: you could get it with the ralliart engine if i’m not horribly mistaken

I’ve seen a couple of them, and I dig them too. I’m not sure which is rarer, this or the Lancer wagon. Probably the wagon, since I think the US only got it for a year.

Funny you mention the Sportback. I saw one just the other day around town.
Oh, and I’ve secretly wanted the Ralliart version for a long time:

I actually quite like them! :)
Why would insurance be so high? Aren’t there lower GTS trim levels other than the Ralliart?

Yup. However, that would be awful for my insurance premiums.

GTS is still pushing a lot for insurance. I blame living in Toronto.

Definitely the wagon.

Move to Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia - population 1000! :P

Hah, well, if all goes according to plan, I’ll be moving to Saskatchewan, which will be much cheaper.

Nifty! Where in Sasquatchewan? :)

I own a Ralliart sedan so I know they exist ;)
Say what you want about Mitsubishi, there really isn’t anything wrong with the Lancer as transportation and the Ralliart/EvoX are bonkers. Sure, the materials suck but mechanically they’re sound and functionally they just work. My insurance on my 2011 is about $130/mo in california (I’m male and single). It would be about half of that back in Massachusetts.

Somewhere around Saskatoon, hopefully.

I'm looking at a 2010 GTS, and it'd be $366 a month at the cheapest.

Wow that’s pricey.
